Money Miles is developed and published by Brogrammer LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Money Miles app ("App") on iPhone.
If you have questions, contact us at privacy@moneymiles.app.
We collect two categories of information:
a) Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores trip data including GPS routes, distances, start/end addresses, trip categories, vehicle information, and your preferences. This information is stored only on your device using SwiftData and iOS UserDefaults. Your location data and trip logs are never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
b) Analytics Data (Google Analytics for Firebase)
We use Google Analytics for Firebase ("Firebase Analytics"), a service provided by Google LLC. Firebase Analytics collects usage data to help us understand how people interact with the App. This includes:
Firebase Analytics does not collect your name, email address, phone number, payment information, precise location, trip routes, or mileage data.
Money Miles requests location permission ("Always" or "When In Use") to track your drives in the background. This is essential to the core functionality of the app.
All location data stays on your device. GPS coordinates, route points, and calculated distances are stored locally using SwiftData. We do not operate any servers that receive, store, or process your location information.
You can delete all trip data at any time by removing individual trips or deleting the app entirely.
Money Miles uses Bluetooth to detect your vehicles and automatically start tracking drives. The App scans for nearby Bluetooth devices and stores the identifiers of devices you select as vehicles.
Bluetooth device identifiers are stored only on your device and are never transmitted externally.
We use the analytics data described above solely to:
We do not use your information to serve advertising, build advertising profiles, or sell data to any third party.
Firebase Analytics is operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google acts as a data processor on our behalf and is bound by Google's data processing terms.
Data collected by Firebase Analytics may be transferred to and stored on Google's servers in the United States or other countries. Google applies appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.
You can learn more about how Google handles data and your opt-out options here:
To opt out of analytics within the App, deny tracking permission when prompted at first launch, or go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and disable tracking for Money Miles at any time.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any user data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
On-device data (trips, routes, vehicles, preferences) is retained until you delete individual trips or remove the App.
Firebase Analytics event data is retained for 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted from Google's servers.
Because we do not collect personally identifiable information on our servers, there is no personal profile to access, correct, or delete.
To opt out of anonymous analytics entirely, go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and disable tracking for Money Miles. You can delete all on-device trip data at any time by removing individual trips or deleting the app.
All trip and vehicle data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData with iOS-level encryption. We follow Apple's recommended security practices for on-device data storage.
Because your personal trip data is never transmitted by the App, the risk of a data breach affecting your mileage information is minimal.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide notice within the App or through the App Store update notes.
Your continued use of the App after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
